37 inches!!

We are getting closer!!  Only 5 weeks left!  I'm getting more and more nervous as the time winds down. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy went. Officially I have 33 days until my due date. Peanut has had a huge growth spurt in the last month. At our 32 week appointment the heartbeat was 146 and my tummy measurement was 33 1/2. At our 34 week appointment the heartbeat was 140 and my tummy measurement was 37!  The doctor wasn't concerned at all. He said the baby just had a growth spurt, but I think Peanut was just sitting funny. Typical Thorpe, he/she was probably standing on his/her toes when it came time to be measured! haha  I am still feeling great. I haven't been able to bend over very good for a week or two, but that's just my excuse to make Manuel tie my shoes.  I have started to gain a little weight, but at the same time my pants are starting to get looser! My feet on the other hand have decided to just be plump for the next 5 weeks. I have received lots of foot rubs because of them being so swollen!  The baby has started to get much stronger with his/her kicks. The kicks still aren't painful, just kind of awkward and startling. It's amazing how the baby kicks so much now.
We got to go to South Dakota in August. Greta and Piper threw me the most amazing baby shower!!  It was so fun to be with friends and family!  I got so many gifts for the baby! I think I got almost everything that I needed! My sis-in-law's also made me the most beautiful scrapbook for the baby!  It has everything from belly pics to this blog!!  They even made pages for me to just add pictures, so now all I have to do is put in some pictures to finish the scrapbook!  I am truly blessed to have such amazing sisters!!  While we were in South Dakota, my mom and I spiffed up the crib and it looks brand new! We finally set up the crib when we got back and have some of the decorations up. Just a few things left to do and the baby's room will be completely ready!  The nursery is a monkey theme that is greens and tans. The dogs aren't really sure why the room is the way it is! JJ tries to get into the crib to play with the stuffed animals that are in there. We are excited to see how they react to a screaming baby! They are confused right now by how big my belly is and why they can't jump up on my lap anymore.  It won't be much longer before they get to meet their brother or sister!!
I haven't uploaded any pictures since my last post, but when I do I will add some on here!  I do have 1 very unflattering picture from Peanut's first Chiefs game! We have our maternity pictures tomorrow! I can't wait to see how big my belly actually looks!!
